Training Institutes

The cardinal objective of the ACCESS Nigeria project is focused on the capacity building and human resource management for the purpose of empowering the trainees (student) with requisite and basic employability skills.

In order to achieve this, the World Bank through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process selected five training institute to undertake the training of applicants through the ACCESS Nigeria program.

The training providers after the initial stages of selection and assessment will now embark on the training of students, thereby preparing them for the services sector industry.

 The training institutes and their designated locations for the training and the websites are given below:

1.    AFRIHUB LIMITED

Afrihub Limited is an indigenous company with specialization in ICT development initiative and one of the foremost ICT training institutes in Nigeria. Afrihub is actively involved in the expansion and development of ICT in Africa. It has presently fourteen (14) locations in Nigeria especially at the universities.

Afrihub was established in May 2004 to provide human capacity building technologies including satellites and wireless internet access, telephony and US instructor led technical training to federal universities throughout Nigeria.

In its business objectives, Afrihub through its public private partnerships have established and operate world class ICT parks on Nigerian universities campuses.

As one of the trainers selected by the World Bank, Afrihub undertook the selection and assessment of students in Enugu (Enugu- Nsukka).  Afrihub is located at the following place within the Enugu environ:

Nsukka: Nsukka Afrihub ICT center, beside intercontinental bank, University of Nigeria, Nsukka campus (UNN) Enugu.

Enugu: Enugu Afrihub ICT Center, Beside Lady Ibiam Hostel, University of Nigeria, Enugu campus, (UNEC) Enugu.

2.    MULTIMIX /BPO ACADEMY 

The Nigerian BPO Academy (BACAN), an initiative of the renowned Nigerian training company called Multimix Academy, is well on its to becoming Nigeria’s most state of the art; biggest and knowledge-empowered BPO training organization. Built around a unique DNA, the programs and activities are founded on the most sophisticated and relevant global standards shared by BCI- systems and processes that are being used worldwide in the development of human talents for the BPO industry.  

BACAN is a BCI authorized certification training provider and has provided BPO training and talent development for Nigeria BPO players. It has over thirty (30) training centers across Nigeria.

BACAN was selected by the World Bank through the ACCESS Nigeria program to provide assessment, selection and training for the student in the Lagos environ.

3.   CAPE SOURCE

CapeSource is a global services company offering business processing outsourcing and contact center solutions, to organizations worldwide, seeking higher operational effectiveness, greater flexibility and lower operating costs. CapeSource was selected to handle candidates from Kano.

 4.   NIIT NIGERIA ( NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY)

5.  Digital bridge Institute (DBI)

The Digital bridge Institute (DBI) also referred to as the international centre for communication studies was launched in the wake of the phenomenal world-wide growth of the telecommunications (telecoms) and information communications Technology (ICT) sector

The Digital Bridge Institute was primarily established to engender human resources development and workforce capacity building, educating and training manpower in all spheres of telecommunications and information technology at post graduate ad diploma levels.

DBI have their training institutes in Lagos Abuja and Kano. DBI was selected by the World bank to undertake the assessment, selection and training of student within the Abuja axis. DBI have its office in Abuja at:
